Join residents across the county who are already playing their part in taking action on climate change by downloading the Carbon Cutting Essex app. The app is a powerful tool which has been designed to help us all keep track of our carbon footprint and discover small actions to reduce it.
From videos to blogs and quizzes, the app is a fun way to broaden your knowledge on climate action. Users can also take part in weekly challenges including pledging to recycle more and waste less, avoiding non-recyclables and sorting your rubbish out this Christmas. The weekly streaks feature is also a fantastic way to keep on top of your new sustainable habits.
Each month, users can deep dive into a different climate theme, including the Waste Strategy for Essex, sustainable travel and how to save water. In December, the theme will change to Festive Recycling.
You can also earn points on the app which you can use to enter prize draws, donate to a good cause or receive a discount on a range of sustainable products from the online Eco Shop.
