Staff abuse at recycling centres
Seven recycling centre employees came together to share some of the hurtful comments that they have experienced at work. 'We are real, we deserve respect' is a powerful reminder of the affect that abuse can have on a person’s mental or emotional wellbeing.
The majority of site users are respectful towards our employees and to each other. However, even a small amount of abuse is still too much. Our staff are real people, who are on site to help you. Nobody deserves to feel threatened or unsafe at their place of work.

The safety and wellbeing of both our employees and visitors is of upmost importance. This is why we have recently refreshed and published our new Community Guidelines. This helps everyone to feel confident on what to expect when visiting our sites, and what we expect from our visitors.
