Collect or donate free paint at Witham Recycling Centre!
In need of FREE paint? Or have leftover tins cluttering up your shed?
We have launched a Community RePaint scheme at Witham Recycling Centre, where you can pick up free paint for your project or redecorating ideas.
Cold weather and poor storage can mean leftover paint becomes unusable and wasted. Drop your paint off when you next visit, so it can be reused in our local community instead. All residents and community groups can then collect paint for free from the collection point at the recycling centre. Just book a slot for your visit as usual and speak to staff on arrival.
Community RePaint is a UK-wide paint reuse network, sponsored by Dulux. The aim is to collect leftover paint and redistribute it to benefit individuals, families, communities and charities in need.
Each year, an estimated 50 million litres of the paint sold in the UK goes to waste. This paint is either thrown away or stored in homes or garages, despite over 50% of it still being usable. Currently, the network is made up of over 70 schemes and redistributes over 315,000 litres of paint each year.
Follow us on Facebook to keep an eye out for more recycling centres joining the scheme in 2025!
